Frequently Asked Questions

Does Gut Food contain sugar, gluten, or dairy?

Gut Food is refined sugar-free, gluten-free, Paleo, vegetarian, and Keto-friendly with only 2 net carbs per serving.

Please note: One of our ingredients is grown on dairy cultures and may contain a small amount of residual dairy. More information here.

What are the benefits of Gut Food?

The ingredients in Gut Food have been shown to improve digestion and symptoms of leaky gut, bloating, and overall gut motility within weeks of consistent use. Long-term benefits include improved mood, immunity, and metabolism as well as improved gut microbiome composition.✝

Who should take Gut Food?

We believe everyone can benefit from intentional daily support for their gut microbiome.

If you’re pregnant, breast-feeding, under the age of 18, or taking medication, please check with your healthcare provider before starting Gut Food. If you have SIBO, please click here for more information.

How do you take Gut Food?

Because everyone's gut is different, we recommend starting slow by taking 1/2 scoop daily for the first week. As tolerated, you can increase to one scoop daily. Each pouch of Gut Food has 30 servings -- enough to last you a month!

Gut Food is best taken in 6 to 8 ounces of room temperature water on an empty stomach. If desired, you can add freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice or add to your favorite smoothie.

What if I'm already taking a probiotic or multivitamin?

If you are loving your current probiotic, you can continue taking it while including Gut Food into your daily routine.

Our spore-based probiotic can replace your current probiotic, but you can take both.

Our Gut Food formula is not a replacement for your daily multivitamin. While we do call it a "multivitamin" for your gut, the ingredients in Gut Food are more gut-specific nutrients (prebiotics, probiotics, and polyphenols), whereas your daily multivitamin contains essential vitamins and sometimes minerals. Most people take both.

Of course, always check with your doctor before adding or changing your supplements.

What can I expect when I start taking Gut Food?

At first, most people notice slight improvements in their overall digestion and bowel frequency. We find that most people tend to notice the most robust improvements after about 8 weeks of continuously using Gut Food.✝

If your gut and digestion are already pretty healthy, you may not notice changes right away, but that doesn't mean that Gut Food isn't working. Positive microbiome shifts can be subtle at first.
